Hello
mamcita’s and papcita’s *in Ernie's voice*….how are yáll doing???
Happy new year wishes to everyone again………kisses hugs and kisses:)J
Okay
people, I will be sharing my experience in Nassarawa with you incase you think
of relocating to this place……..First of all, the dust this harmattan season
does not have part 2………….na die here mehn…….my nose is constantly clogged, and
hot food gets cold in 3 minutes, even my bread became strong when I removed it
from the nylon…….
Lesson: get
a house warmer, keep a flask of hottttttttttttt water nearby and drink it
constantly to be warm and to keep your system warm.
So I’ve
been using Vaseline Healthy Even tone and Neutrogena body oil before I got
here..…..my skin has been glowing but here, my skin is dry, white and dusty.
I’m hairy
so my legs turns white like a sheep’s
body….lol……. I even tried the Loc for my skin, that is Vaseline
Healthy Even Tone + Neutrogena body oil + Shea Butter = dry, white skin…………lol
so
you see this place is really dry, cold and dusty.
I travel
everyday oh………..my ppa(primary place of assignment) is far from the town, so I
fly okada to that place everyday…….mehn it’s not fun sha…
So watch
for the foinnnneeeeee gulr that kits up with socks, head warmer, shades and
gloves flying okada on the highway, thats
your home girl..
I even
dress like ninja’s,…….. lol………… you see the dust is too much and it now lives
in the air…….hahahaha and I have to
cover up my nose so I won’t have dry throat or sore throat……
So people
of God, this is part 1 of the gist sha…..Starting life on your own for the
first time is not fun oh…….lets give three kposa;s for every one that has left
his or her parents house and decided to start life all alone…….i feel what you’ve
felt, and the same way you thrived and succeeded I will too…..i know it say
Amen for me brethren…………….AMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNN.
Lmao…………..okay over to you……how do you survive living
alone??? Share your thoughts!
I LOVE YOU
SO MUCH:)
i will give anything to live alone. But i hope u survive there sha lool

DeleteHmmm, this weather sounds like a very serious matter. This experience will allow you to appreciate your family ties even more and perhaps bring you closer.
ReplyDeletemy dear, your right........now i appreciate my parents for always making sure that what i need is available.
Deletelol @ "vaseline +body oil+shea butter=dry skin". I really believe you when you say the struggle is real. hahahah
ReplyDeleteThis is an adventure you can always look back at and laugh about.
Awaiting part 2......
hahahaha, i look forward to that day.............tighten your seat belt for more...lol
DeleteLiving a lone for me was quite fun. So much independence and responsibility. The only thing was I missed my family and hated cooking most times.
ReplyDeletePrincess Audu
lol........i love cooking now because i can try different recipes....i feel you on the responsibility and independence.....it's oyo(on your own) in all it's meaning.
DeleteDoh otondo
ReplyDeleteI use St Ives shea butter and oatmeal and so far it's been working. I'm sure the cold there is not up to that of sokoto oh!
Just wear thick clothing and apply robb under your nose and don't forget to take fluids.
ah, i find strength to move on when i think of you.....i'll try these tips and see how it works:)

Oh Ugo I feel for you! I lived in the mountains of VA! A cool to cold climate area! Just looked and it's -0 there now o_O I moved to So Cal (southern California) halfway between Los Angeles & Palm Springs! Inland Empire is in the middle of the desert cool at night, Hot during the day and yes Dusty! But I'm Thrilled not be Freezing! ;)
ReplyDeleteMy most Difficult adjustment was Responsibility! My parents raised me well, but when I had to make ends meet on my modest income ... I thought about the Sacrifices and Hardships they made to Provide for me! Doing all the "Grownup" things my Mommy and Daddy did was the Toughest part! But looking back Faith in God and Knowing He Prepares us with every step our lives will take is my Comfort! My Daddy passed before my 18th birthday and it's 11 days until the first anniversary of my Mommy passing 1/19/14.
Knowing they are Perfect now is a Real Blessing! I know your Faith is Strong Ugo! God will see you through this time and is Preparing you for what He has Planned for you my Beautiful Sis! :)
As for dry skin ... drink plenty of water and experiment with oils and lotions because what works wonders for me may be disastrous for you ... baby oil + Nivea ;)
Be Safe, Take Care and Have a Beautiful Day Sis! Love ya Peace & Grace =D
i'm so sorry for your loss sweetheart.......through your pain, you've made me strong with your words..
DeleteGod bless your heart dear:)

Seems you are not enjoying the weather at all - ndo my dear. Living away from home for the very first time isn't easy but you will survive. You might feel home sick for the first few weeks but after a while, you will survive. It helps to make reliable friends and to explore the place. All the best!
